Pick your Aircraft Seat before you fly
www.seatguru.com allows you to
look at seating layouts for all the different aircraft that airlines
use and see which seats are considered BAD/FAIR/EXCELLENT/Etc. (like
which exit row seat does or does not recline).
Tips
International Travel
You may not need all of the bulky
electronic plug converters. Most
electronics are made to accept 220 volts with some exceptions
(older electronics come to mind).
Air Travel Tips
During seasons and holidays when air travel is typically at peak
use, don’t
forget to print your boarding passes 24-hours in advance to save
time.
If you typically need extra leg room while flying or are flying with
a small child in your lap, you may want
to purchase a seat upgrade. These are often handled 24-hours in
advance online. Seat upgrades sell out quick so don’t wait
until you’re leaving for your flight try and upgrade.
Pack lighter. Some airlines have lowered their per bag weight
allowance. In this tighter economy, charging you for luggage
that exceeds an airlines per bag weight allowance is an extra source
of revenue.
If you're planning on buying clothes or shoes while on vacation, consider
packing old clothes and shoes
and then donate them in your destination city. This will
leave room in your luggage for your new stuff.
